PEACH BOY SCENE 1 - The River

A long time ago, there was an old man and an old woman in a village. They were a couple but they had no children. One day, the old man went to the forest to cut wood and the old woman went to the river to wash some clothes.

Old woman: Wow! What a big peach! I can eat it with my husband!

So she took the giant peach from the river and carried it home.

SCENE 2 - Home for Lunch

Old man: Wow! What is it? It is so big!
Old woman: It's a giant peach! Let's eat it for lunch!
Old man: Let's cut it in half.
Peach boy: Ogya, ogya.
Old man: Look! Look! There is a baby inside!
Old woman: Yes! Yes! It's a boy. Let's call him Peach Boy.

SCENE 3 - Growing Up / Ogres

Peach Boy: I will go to Onigashima to fight against the oni.
Old man: I will give you a sword and a shield.
Old woman: I will give you some sweet kibidanngo.
Old man: Good luck! Old woman: Good luck!

SCENE 4 - Enter: Dog

Dog: Bow wow! going? Bow wow! Where are you

Peach Boy: I am going to Onigashima to fight against the oni. I will give you kibidanngo if you come with me.
Dog: Please give it to me. I will go with you and help you!
(He gets it.) Yummy, yummy!

SCENE 5 - Enter: Monkey

The monkey: Wee! Wee! Where are you going?
Peach Boy: We are going to Onigashima to fight against oni. I will give you kibidanngo if you come with me.
The monkey: Please give it to me. I will go with you and help you!
(He gets it.) Yummy, yummy!

SCENE 6 - Enter: Pheasant

Pheasant: Kuckoo! Kuckoo! Where are you going?
Peach Boy: We are going to Onigashima to fight against oni. I will give you kibidanngo if you come with me.
Pheasant: Please give it to me. I will go with you and help you!
(He gets it.) Yummy, yummy!
